Slovenia is a country which is located on the shore of the Mediterranean sea, although Slovenia is a good location even for skiers beacause of its high Alps mountains that may be even higher than 2.5 kilometres, and sightseers thanks to its huge number of a historical monuments.
Slovenia is former jugoslavian country which has been founded in 2.10.1991 after department from Jugoslavia. Slovenia is a member of OSN, EU, Eurozone, NATO, OBSE and many more organizations. Slovenia neighbors with Italy and Austria.
The slovenian territory was originaly a dominium of the great Roman Empire, then it became domain of Francia, after all these oppression the citizens of Slovenia have seen no end to this nightmare and became dominion of Napoleon´s Empire and soon became a part of a great Habsburg monarchy. Slovenia is divided to three historical areas, which are Carniola, Carinthia and Styria. After the First World War the kingdom of Serbs, Croatians and Slovenians was formed, its´ name was Jugoslavia. During the Second World War a territory of Slovenia was occupied by a German army. Slovenians lead a revolt against germans, this revolt was supported by soviets and even western allies, Josip Broz Tito was the one who standed in the leadership of this revolt. After the Second World War the Jugoslavia became a socialistic country nevertheless it refused to colaborate with Kreml. Decay of Jugoslavia wasn´t as smooth as in Czechoslovakia, the civil war took ten years. Slovenians declare independence as first and after expiring of three months moratory it became an independent country.
Slovenia has almost two milions habittants from which more than 80% are Slovenians. The rest is made of Serbs, Croatians and more (Hungarians etc.).
Slovenia was the richest part of former Jugoslavia. The average wage here is somewhere near 1,615 USD. In contrary in Czech Republic the average wage is somewhere near 1050 USD.
Slovenians excel in ski jumping, but that´s not a big surprise since they can train on the second highest springboard in the world.
